Perfect for use with cavesson-style noseband
Wanted a monocrown noseband to use with an older cavesson figure-8 noseband and this fits great! It was hard to find a crownpiece that had a slot like this. Quality leather. My only design tweak would be to move the slot for the cavesson slightly lower or make the padding end where the cavesson inserts - my concern is that it could be too bulky/create pressure behind the TMJ where the cavesson inserts. But with a properly-fitted browband perhaps it will be no worse than a non-monocrown in that spot.
