Every horse I've tried this bit on has been happy and comfortable wearing it.  With it's unique shape and double joints, it lays level in the horse's mouth and doesn't poke upward into the roof of the mouth like single- jointed bits do. The loose rings allow the bit to move. I've used an expensive German version of this same design and I'm delighted Nunn Finer now has a reasonably priced alternative.
