The leather was very nice and sturdy. Nothing was flimsy or cheap looking/feeling. The leather is breaking in nicely and has a soft covering on the padded poll. The reins come with stoppers and were easy to hold. They are no more slippery than typical rubber reins. Overall, I am very happy with the product.
